"Bollenrit"

The Rally Season started for our club this year with the "Bollenrit" in the neighbourhood of Lisse-Hillegom. The organisation team added an extra attraction this year, namely a visit to the Brabo company. This is a garage specialised in trading, maintenance and restoration of Rolls Royce and Bentley cars. On every aspect from the garage we got a detailed explanation. It was very impressive and interesting. The visit to the "Most beautiful traffic jam from the Netherlands" at the promenade of Noordwijk was absolutely a highlight. Again this year the "Master of Ceremony" paid attention to all of our kit cars. Besides that the attend received a lunch packet and beautiful flowers on the kit car. After a drive through the green hart of South Holland we came together for a wrap up meeting. There was the big surprise: A delegation of our British sister organisation "Citoën Specials Club" (13 British kit cars participated in the Bollenrit!!!) brought along a fantastic banner with our club logo huge represented on it. When a few weeks ago the banner was ready, they we had changed our club logo (By a confer with the 2CV kit car club members). Directly they started working on again a new banner, but now with the latest logo. After our chair recovered from the shock he accepted with great gratitude and appreciating both masterpieces (See picture). For it is very special that, so far away, with much attention and creativity such beautiful things were made for us.
Many many thanks!!!

New club logo.

By a confer with the 2CV kit car club members a new logo was selected (from two nominations).
A large majority indicated their preference for the logo with the two cylinders.
A wide spread motivation for this choice was the relation with the technical background of our kit car hobby.
The winning logo was designed by our club member Jos Crins.
Jos, many thanks for donating this logo to our club.
